An unfortunate end to a short beginning

Hello all,

In hindsight I'm not sure where I really planned to stop and have internet access to post to this blog. But in the end I had to come home again to do it. Because the rumors of why my ride to Florida has been canceled have dispersed faster than free beer at a frat party I've decided to post quickly to make sure everyone who has heard the rumor is clear as to what actually happened. It's only going to be a short explanation and post in general until I am less frustrated and depressed about the whole thing.

So here's what happened: While bike riding through New Jersey I was hit by a car. I came out of it without a scratch but the bike didn't. It was damaged too severely to seriously consider continuing my ride. I think that it is all fixable but it's going to take some time and money that I don't much feel like spending at the moment.

So that's that. No idea when I'll be posting again, but I need to find something else to do for a while.
